British military says guards on cargo ship off Yemen exchange fire with gunmen in Gulf of Aden

DUBAI: A cargo vessel was approached by a small craft carrying six armed individuals about 88 nautical miles southwest of Yemen’s Balhaf on Wednesday, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations said. UKMTO said there was an exchange of fire between the vessel’s armed security team and the small craft, which later turned away.
