Prime Minister Mark Carney said on June 9 a new bridge connecting Canada and the United States that President Donald Trump had threatened to block will open this week.

Trump demanded a share of Canada’s future toll revenue from the Michigan-Ontario Gordie Howe International Bridge, set to open on June 15.
