Speaking about the state of public health in the United States, Kennedy cited concerns over childhood health and nutrition, arguing that poor dietary habits are contributing to a growing health crisis.

Nutrition-based medicine will now account for about 15% of medical licensing exams, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said.

At a news conference Monday, Kennedy insisted that the nutrition education pledges were voluntary and that there “was no coercion or pressure from my agency.”
