Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said he discussed the £2.4 billion generated by Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich's sale of Chelsea Football Club with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, suggesting the funds could be used to strengthen Ukraine's air defences.

Zelenskyy passed Putin a proposal for a meeting via Abramovich to advance peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia.

The Ukrainian President joined Sir Keir, Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz for talks on air defence in the face of increasing 'Russian aggression'.
