Manipur DGP visits Kangpokpi, Senapati as fresh protests, highway blockade and census opposition intensify

Manipur's new DGP Mukesh Singh visited Kangpokpi and Senapati districts to assess the law and order situation. He assured impartial police action and urged peaceful coexistence. Meanwhile, vehicular movement on NH-202 is suspended due to protests against alleged excessive force on women. A rally also demanded the postponement of the census exercise, citing displacement of conflict-affected people.
