Jaaved Jaaferi’s wife allegedly duped in ₹16.24 crore investment scam; BMC official suspended

BMC Assistant Commissioner Mahesh Patil has been suspended for allegedly cheating actor Jaaved Jaaferi's wife of ₹16.24 crore in an investment fraud. Patil and associates are accused of using forged documents for a Bandra redevelopment project. An FIR has been filed, and Patil is reportedly absconding as the case is transferred to the Crime Branch.
