Best known for his role as Giles on the cult TV show Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Anthony Head died at the age of 72. Over the weekend, his co-stars and friends paid heartfelt tributes to a performer who will be sorely missed.

Actor Anthony Head, known for his roles in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Ted Lasso,” has died at 72.

The British star's death comes just six months after that of his partner, the animal therapist and rights campaigner Sarah Fisher, who died of thyroid cancer aged 61.

The actor also had roles in 'Ted Lasso,' 'Little Britain' and the BBC's 'Merlin.'
