Globally, Spain emerges as the most-backed team across Entain's markets, followed by France, while England and Portugal are tied for third place in overall betting stakes. Tom Ritzema, Entain's group trading director, commented that 'football loyalty and betting logic don't always go hand in hand,' suggesting England fans' past disappointments lead them to consider other teams.
