Property owners in 6 Saudi cities urged to register their plots

RIYADH: Property owners in some parts of Riyadh, Makkah, Sharqiyah, Qassim, Tabuk and Madinah have been told by the Real Estate Registry that they must register their plots before Sept. 10 or face a possible fine. Details of the neighborhoods affected and how to complete the registration process can be found on the registry’s website (rer.sa) and mobile app. Information is also available from the customer service center on 199002. The registry was set up as part of plans to improve the transparency of the country’s real estate sector and provide a unified reference point for related data.
