The demonstrations, which took place outside a police station, resulted in 11 police officers and one dog sustaining injuries. Public anger erupted after the release of police body-worn video related to the murder of 18-year-old Henry Nowak. The footage showed Nowak being placed in handcuffs moments before his death, with officers ignoring his pleas that he had been stabbed.
