The inoperable tumour is located in her right ear canal and has left her very hard of hearing. She previously underwent radiotherapy in an attempt to shrink the growth. Gallacher is now scheduled for an MRI scan to determine the success of the radiotherapy treatment. She stated that while the radiotherapy has a good success rate for shrinking the tumour and stopping its growth, it will not remove it entirely.
