Former bureaucrat Tarun Kapoor gets one year extension as advisor to PM

Former bureaucrat Tarun Kapoor has received a one-year extension as advisor to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A retired IAS officer, Kapoor was initially appointed to the position in June 2024. His tenure has now been extended by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, effective from June 10, 2026.
