Three contractors in Randburg arrested for stealing electricity infrastructure during repairs

Three contractor employees have been arrested in Randburg after allegedly stealing underground electricity cables during an authorised City Power repair project, as the utility intensifies its crackdown on infrastructure crime. The arrests come amid a broader enforcement drive that has seen 97 suspects arrested and 21 convicted, receiving a combined 146 years in prison for electricity-related offences across Johannesburg.
