Hundreds of emergency personnel, including military units, aircraft, and firefighters, were deployed in an urgent operation to control the extensive fire, which featured a 300-metre front of flames and reached heights of up to 65 feet. Spain's president, Pedro Sanchez, and Murcia's regional president, Fernando Lopez Miras, confirmed that the government mobilised all necessary resources, including aerial support, to assist in extinguishing the fire. The fire was declared stabilised by Wednesday, allowing evacuated residents to return to their properties by Thursday, though a force of 150 personnel remains to secure the perimeter and prevent flare-ups.
