The Lahore high court on Wednesday upheld the death sentences of two men convicted of raping a French woman at gunpoint in front of her children on the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway in Pakistan's Punjab province in 2020, rejecting their appeals against the trial court's verdict.

The convicts gang-raped a French woman of Pakistan-origin in front of her three children after dragging her out of her car on Sialkot-Lahore Motorway.

Abid Malhi and Shafqat Ali were convicted of gang rape, kidnapping, robbery and terrorism offences back in March 2021 over the attack on the Sialkot-Lahore Motorway.
