Natland travelled to the UK on 17 March last year, reportedly to 'undertake a hit' for €25,000, having been contacted for the job two days prior. He was arrested on 19 March in a Huddersfield hotel room, where police found a semi-automatic pistol, a revolver, and 12 rounds of live ammunition in his possession. Prosecutors allege Natland was acting for the 'Foxtrot Network' and had sent messages to his girlfriend stating 'I'm going on a crazy mission' and 'In the bag is bang'.
