Manchester court grants JP $400,000 bail on fraud-related charges
A Justice of the Peace has been granted bail in the sum of $400,000 after appearing in the Manchester Parish Court on Wednesday on fraud-related charges.He is 64-year-old Dudley Powell of Glencoe, Spalding in Clarendon.Powell, who is also a businessman, is charged with cheating the public revenue, using an official seal for fraudulent purposes, and misconduct in public office.He appeared before Parish Court Judge Monique Harrison who granted bail following an application by attorney-at-law Odane Marston.
