'Constitution doesn't permit BRIBERY': Rep. Ivey GRILLS Blanche over Trump pardons at fiery hearing

Rep. Glenn Ivey, D-Md., asked why Blanche has not appointed a special prosecutor to investigate Trump’s pardon of Changpeng Zhao, the founder of cryptocurrency exchange Binance who helped advance a multibillion-dollar deal for the Trump family business. Zhao pleaded guilty in 2023 to failing to maintain an anti-money laundering program. Blanche, in turn, said the Constitution affords Trump the power to pardon anyone he wants without explanation. “Who he chooses to pardon is not a problem, period,” Blanche said.
