Rebekah Vardy has revealed what she would do if she were to meet Coleen Rooney again following the ‘Wagatha Christie’ scandal. In 2019, Rooney accused Vardy of leaking stories to the press, having planted “false” stories about her on a private Instagram story made only visible to Vardy. Vardy faced huge public backlash for the claim, and ultimately sued Rooney for libel in 2022, though lost her case. Discussing the drama on Tuesday’s (2 June) episode of The Vardys, the 44-year-old said that she harbours no ill-feelings towards Rooney. Shutting down speculation that there would “handbags at dawn” upon their reunion, Vardy said her “peace is too important”. “I’ve got no idea what she thinks of me, but I'm not bothered,” she added.
