'Namaz on roads' row returns as Kirit Somaiya seeks action against prayers in public spaces

Kirit Somaiya has written to Mumbai's police and civic authorities seeking action against the offering of namaz on public roads and outside railway stations. Citing traffic congestion and inconvenience to commuters, Somaiya urged authorities to prevent religious gatherings in public thoroughfares.
