Britain’s government has barred pro-Palestinian American streamer Hasan Piker and his uncle from entering the country, prompting criticism from free speech advocates over what they say is a crackdown on dissent related to Israel’s campaign in Gaza.

The ban on the left-wing commentators has shocked many across the political spectrum.

The United Kingdom’s Home Office said Piker and Uygur were blocked from entering the country because their presence “may not be conducive to the public good.”
