India-China border trade through the Shipki La Pass in Himachal Pradesh has commenced from June 1, 2026. The six-month trade season, running until November 30, will allow approved traders to import 20 designated items and export 36 approved goods under the existing framework. Authorities are conducting customs workshops, security verification and coordination among the Indian Army, ITBP and Customs Department to ensure smooth and secure cross-border trade operations through the strategically important Himalayan gateway.
