Bobbi Pickard: We celebrate diversity in wildlife – Why not in humans?

British human rights and LGBTQ+ rights campaigner Bobbi Pickard has called for greater celebration of human diversity. The founder of Trans in the City features on The Independent Pride List 2026, Bobbi said: “We’ve just had David Attenborough’s 100th birthday and we saw an outpouring of love for this amazing man, a man who has brought the wonder of nature to our attention for so many decades. “Everyone looks at his programmes and celebrates the wonderful diversity of all of the species that he highlights. And the only species we don’t celebrate diversity in is humans, we are just as much a part of nature as everyone else. “
