The fatal crash occurred around 2:35 a.m. Friday morning after a bus failed to slow for traffic and hit six vehicles near Quantico, Virginia State Police said in a statement Friday.

Five people were killed and 34 were injured in a massive crash between a bus and six vehicles on Interstate 95 in Virginia early Friday morning.

The five deaths came in vehicles that were struck by the bus when it did not slow down for traffic.

The crash happened 2:35 a.m. on I-95 South near the Quantico exit and the 146 mile-marker in Stafford County, Virginia.

Authorities said a bus hit six other vehicles early the morning of May 29 on Interstate 95.
