Coronation Street’s Tracy Shaw has issued a cancer update after completing her first day of chemotherapy. Shaw, who played Maxine Peacock in the ITV soap, told her Instagram followers in April that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. In a new update posted on Instagram on Wednesday (27 May), the actor, 52, said that she was feeling “really positive” following her first day of treatment, though revealed that everything she eats tastes “horrible and like metal”. She concluded her message by sending love to everyone who is also going through chemotherapy, and praising the “angel” nurses who are looking after her. “I don’t know how they do it.”
