The incident, captured on CCTV, occurred on 21 May at a hotel in Yangshuo County, near Guilin. The staff member walked across a rain-soaked carpark, seemingly unaware of the pool's presence. He plunged into the water while still holding two large suitcases. Bystanders quickly rushed to help the soaked porter and retrieve the luggage from the pool.
