Ebola: NCDC flags Lagos, FCT, Kano, Rivers, 6 others as high-risk states

Nigeria's NCDC has classified 10 states — including Lagos, FCT, Kano and Rivers — as high-risk for Bundibugyo Ebola Virus Disease importation, with 1,077 suspected cases and 247 deaths already reported across DRC and Uganda (CFR 24.6%). No approved vaccine or treatment exists for this strain, so health systems must act now on surveillance, isolation capacity and infection prevention before any case arrives.
