Shaw, who played Maxine Peacock in the ITV soap, had previously announced her breast cancer diagnosis on Instagram in April. In her latest update on Wednesday (27 May), the 52-year-old actor shared that she was feeling "really positive" following the initial treatment. She noted a side effect of chemotherapy, saying that everything she eats now tastes "horrible and like metal".
