Textile Sector in India has a long history dating back to more than 5000 BC with archaeological evidence that India had abundant resources and the forefront in supplying the finest textile to the world. It is really hard to ignore this sector as it is the second largest industry providing employment opportunities to both organized and unorganized sectors. According to the International Journal of Mechanical Engineering and Technology, the textile industry solely employs 51 million people directly and 68 million indirectly.
