His daughters announced on Wednesday that Deny passed away on Monday after a sudden and severe case of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a progressive neurodegenerative disease for which there is no known cure. In 'Emily in Paris', Deny portrayed Louis de Léon, the CEO of fashion giant JVMA and father to Nicholas de Léon, appearing in seasons three and four of the hit show. He also had a significant role as Renaud Dumaze in more than 500 episodes of the French soap opera 'Tomorrow is Ours' between 2017 and 2023. Luce Mouchel, Deny's co-star from 'Tomorrow is Ours', shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, reminiscing about their seven years of working together and his 'sparkling eyes'.
