The memorial will honour the contributions of Muslim people to British war efforts during the First and Second World Wars. Faith and Communities Minister Nesil Caliskan said the memorial aims to ensure the previously overlooked contributions of Muslim soldiers are remembered “for generations”.A competition opens on 10 June for charities, companies, and local authorities in England to propose designs for the memorial.
