Following several days of exceptional heat, temperatures are now forecast to cool significantly across parts of the UK, though some southern areas may still experience highs of 32C-33C initially. Tragically, multiple individuals, including teenagers, have died after getting into difficulty in open water across various locations in the UK and Ireland during the heatwave, prompting safety warnings from the RNLI and National Fire Chiefs Council.
