The series, which premiered its first two episodes on 15 May, garnered 12.9 million views on Paramount+ within its first week, making it the platform’s biggest original series launch to date. Its debut on Paramount Network also attracted 2.9 million live-plus-same-day viewers on premiere night, marking the largest new cable series premiere since 2023. Dutton Ranch is the fourth instalment in the Yellowstone franchise, following 1883, 1923, and Marshals, and currently holds an 88 per cent critics score on Rotten Tomatoes. Despite its success, the show experienced behind-the-scenes changes, with original creator Chad Feehman reportedly departing due to clashes, leading Taylor Sheridan to hand creative control over to the stars.
