The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Friday, May 15, 2026, arraigned one Igoin Tokoni Peter, a self-acclaimed presidential aide, before Justice Obiora Egwuatu of the Federal High Court in Abuja over an alleged N25 million fraud. Peter, who allegedly posed as the Special Adviser to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (Bola Tinubu) on ICT Development and Digital Innovation, was docked on a four-count charge bordering on impersonation and obtaining money under false pretence to the tune of N25 million.
