IAF introduces GATE-based scheme for officer recruitment, bypasses AFCAT exam

IAF is now accepting GATE scores for induction into its Technical Branch under a new officers entry scheme. Eligible candidates with valid GATE scores will be directly shortlisted for Air Force Selection Board testing based on merit, bypassing the preliminary written exam. The AFCAT will continue for other branches. The initiative aims to provide greater flexibility for aspirants applying for technical roles.
