China giant joins list of suppliers to massive “round-the-clock” solar and battery project

Sungrow will supply 7.5GWh BESS and 2.6GW of inverters to Masdar's 5.2GW/19GWh UAE RTC project, targeting operations in 2027. Chinese vendors — CATL, JA Solar, Jinko, Sungrow — now control the full hardware stack, setting the bar for gigascale BESS procurement.
