ActionSA unveils governance team, pledging to fix Joburg ahead of 2026 elections

ActionSA has announced its Mayoral Campaign Governance Team in Soweto, presenting it as a “government-in-waiting” made up of professionals and activists who could take over municipal portfolios if the party wins the City of Johannesburg in 2026. Party leader Herman Mashaba says the initiative is aimed at addressing service delivery failures and rebuilding governance capacity in the metro. The team includes candidates assigned to key departments such as finance, transport, public safety and human settlements.
