Assam hails Bengal's fencing move to secure Siliguri corridor

Assam's government has welcomed West Bengal's move to fence sensitive border areas. This includes the Siliguri Corridor, vital for connecting the Northeast. Governor Lakshman Prasad Achary highlighted past infiltration challenges. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw also revealed plans for a rail link across the corridor.
