MIT students study plasma physics beneath Alaska’s aurora

MIT graduate students have been traveling to Alaska to study plasma through the aurora borealis, designing and deploying their own instruments to capture large-scale phenomena in real-time while advancing student-led research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and youth outreach.
