Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said tough decisions were required in the wake of the NEET-UG irregularities and assured that the government is committed to ensuring deserving students do not lose opportunities because of examination malpractice. Emphasising efforts to restore trust in the system, he said authorities are working to make the June 21 re-test completely error-free. Pradhan acknowledged the mental distress faced by nearly 22 lakh students and said corrective measures are being implemented to strengthen the examination process and prevent future lapses.
