The recall stems from concerns that the toys' sand filling may contain fibrous tremolite asbestos. If damaged, the toys could release asbestos fibers into the air, posing serious health risks such as respiratory disease and cancer upon inhalation. Affected models include a large gold monkey (17451) and smaller multicolored versions (41929), identifiable by date code 3102491A, sold from February 2025 through April 2026. Consumers are urged to immediately stop using the toys, contact The Orb Factory for a refund, and follow specific disposal instructions for both intact and damaged products.
