Road death toll passes 100 amid sharp decline in fatal crashes

The number of people killed on Jamaica’s roadways this year has surpassed 100 amid a significant decline in road fatalities. An 18-year-old motorcyclist and a 25-year-old pillion were killed in separate crashes in Westmoreland yesterday, pushing the total number of road deaths this year to 103, according to the latest police statistics. Road deaths are down by 43 or 29 per cent year-to-date, the statistics revealed.
