Sedibeng police have seized illicit cigarettes valued at approximately R3.7 million and arrested two men, aged 60 and 43, following a tactical intelligence-driven operation on the R59 corridor. The suspects were intercepted in a white UD truck allegedly transporting contraband cigarettes from Gauteng to QwaQwa. Authorities uncovered hundreds of boxes of Remington Gold and Chelsea cigarettes during a search at Zamdela SAPS. Investigations are ongoing into a wider network believed to be linked to the operation.
