Former South Sydney star wants the NRL to introduce Try For Jai – a play on the Try July promotion – in aid of motor neurone disease after his former teammate was diagnosed with the condition.

The veteran forward played 178 NRL games including a grand final for the Rabbitohs, as well as 12 State of Origin matches for Queensland.
