Even as the Supreme Court on Wednesday refused to recall its decision to remove stray dogs from public places like hospitals, schools and railway stations, a township in Ghaziabads Indirapuram was quietly celebrating a rare milestone. Ward No. 100 of the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation has become the first civic ward across Uttar Pradeshs municipal corporations to sterilise all its community dogs, with residents, RWAs, animal feeders and NGOs working together to reduce conflict, stabilise the dog population and encourage adoptions.
