The list features 11 sites across the U.S., including the Stonewall National Monument, the President's House Site, and the Women's Rights National Historic Park, which exemplify struggles for equality. For the first time, each site on the 2026 list will receive a $25,000 grant to help address threats and highlight their connections to the theme of equality. Several sites, such as Stonewall and the President's House, have been endangered by an administration's actions, including the removal of flags and historical exhibits. Other threats to these historic places include structural deterioration, development pressures, proposed construction projects, and changes to federal land policy impacting cultural integrity.
