Health officials to take ‘proactive measures’ in response to the ongoing Ebola virus epidemic in the DRC and Uganda

US health officials are supporting DRC and Uganda after a deadly Ebola outbreak triggered regional and global response efforts.

A number of Americans who are in the Congo are believed to have had exposure to suspected cases in the country’s latest Ebola outbreak, sources have told STAT.

The World Health Organization declared the outbreak a public health emergency of international concern on Saturday.
