Court Grants EFCC Final Forfeiture Of Private Jet Linked To NNPC Power Project Probe

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has secured a final forfeiture order of a Hawker private jet allegedly linked to fraud, corruption, and money laundering connected to the Maiduguri Emergency Power Project (MEPP). The order was granted on Monday, May 18, 2026, by Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court, Maitama, Abuja, who ruled that the aircraft be forfeited to the Federal Government after dismissing claims by an interested party.
