Abu Bilal al-Minuki, said to be the Islamic State’s second-ranking leader, was killed after a helicopter-borne assault by commandos from both countries on Friday night, two U.S. officials said.

WASHINGTON -- US President Donald Trump said on Friday that Abu-Bilal al-Minuki, second-in-command of ISIS globally, was eliminated by US and Nigerian forces.

The Nigerian president called the strike a 'significant example of effective collaboration in the fight against terrorism'.
