Rapido's substantial $730 million funding round significantly boosted Indian startup investments this week, reaching approximately $790 million across 18 deals. This marks a considerable increase from the previous week and the same period last year. The funding includes a $240 million late-stage round for Rapido, alongside early and seed-stage investments in other companies like HrdWyr and Wingreens World.

Rapido has raised $240 million led by Prosus at a $3 billion valuation to expand across smaller Indian cities and boost mobility services.

Rapido has driven its growth by enabling ride-hailing for lower-cost and more flexible modes of transport such as motorbikes and autorickshaws.
